OLDTIMERS' REUNION
Reflecting on Early Days in Arlington Heights

Foreword

This little book is a labor of love in the sense that I came to know
and love Arlington Heights through knowing the people I've written
about. They agreed to be interviewed for the Arlington Heights
Historical Society collection, or for the histories I wrote of the
library, St. James Church and the First United Methodist Church.
What they taught me about Arlington Heights before it was a
modern suburb gave our town a reality and depth that it had never
had for me. This book is dedicated to each of them, with gratitude.
